  • I'm sending you an assortment of menstrual cups today!

FUN FUN FUN!!!!!  Granty can play with them!

  • I think disgustamundo is my new favorite word. Yea, I applaud people who can do it- it's cheaper and better for the earth, but I just can't fathom trying them.
  • I agree.  To each their own, for sure, but I would never use one.

And thanks for the mental image LOL

  • They aren't so bad. Ever since childbirth, tampons are pretty ineffective for me, they leak. And I think pads are disgustamondo. ;) sitting on ickies all day? Blech. So yeah...I have one. I swear it's not so bad and I feel less gross.

  • years ago I tried them. I wasn't a huge fan, especially when it came to removing them. I stick to tampons.

  • I feel the same way about tampons.
  • They don't sound too bad to me.  I actually considering getting one.

They're much better for the environment than anything.  And I honestly think that pads are way more "disgustamundo" than diva cups.  At least with diva cups, the blood is on the inside and you're not sitting on it for a few hours.

They are really awesome, I have never had a leak and don't have to spend money on my period for 10 more years (they now say replace them yearly...its a money thing...but they are surgical silicone and can be boiled). And no pulling out dry tampons ::shudder::

Ditto all this. Removing tampons makes me feel like I'm being gutted. Would never go back.

Out of all the people I know who have tried it, only one went back to tampons. I thought it would be so gross but I love mine!

(Oh and Divacup is NOT the same as an Instead cup...those are just bad)

  • I also work in a hospital lab, so I probably have a much higher tolerance of what's "gross" when it comes to bodily functions than most people :)
