How many cupcakes per person?

I need to tell MIL how many cupcakes we need for DD's party, but I'm not sure how many cupcakes per person I should have.  Anyone?  TIA

I would assume one per person? That's what I am thinking for DD's party anyway. Maybe a few extra just in case.

We are going to have enough for each person to have 1.5 cupcakes, I'm figuring some people will go back for seconds but most people will probably just eat 1

Im going to do one per person, then make extras for half of the people to have 2. So the number of people x 1.5

One per person, and some extras. I would say half as many extras as you need for one per. So if you have 20 people, have 30 cupcakes - though if you're having a lot of people, you could probably lessen the percentage a bit. Just be sure you have people willing to take extras, just in case (unless you want them all for yourself, of course.)
