I've heard that it helps keep away yeast infections or something like that and Belly has a bad rash, but its not by her butt. I'm going to take her with me to Gabe's appt tomorrow but in the mean time should I give her yogurt since she's on an antibiotic right now or is it too late for that to work?
Re: Isn't there something about eating yogurt while on antibiotics?
no it helps! the reason you are at higher risk for yeast infections on antibiotics is b/c there is good bacteria down there that keep things healthy, but accidentally get killed off by the antibiotics.
the same strain of bacteria in the vagina is used to culture yogurt, so it can help to replenish the good suckers!

Yes, the yogurt put the good bacteria into your system.
I always give M yogurt when we start antibiotics, but it can't hurt to try now.
I just read this to FI & his responce was...
I knew all that, but when you word it that way...THAT'S GROSS
LOL
But is that something that Belle can have?
I'm so glad I found this post. DH took DS to his 9 month appt on Monday and he was put on antibiotics for an ear infection. Dr. said to give him yogurt everyday for lunch as long as he's on meds but DH didn't ask why. I've been giving it to him but at least now I know why.
By the way, there are probiotics for kids. We have been giving it to DS since he was 2 months old for tummy troubles. It's Culturelle for Kids. I usually get it at Walgreens or Target but I also found it at drugstore.com cheaper and I think it had free shipping.
