Is it okay to eat yogurt while pregnant? I know we are in our 3rd Trimester, but a lady at work asked me what I was doing?? She flipped out on me during my Lunch break because I had yogurt... WHAT???

  • It's actually VERY good to eat. My Bradley instructor and midwife recommend having it EVERYDAY. They said it's a MUST to have yogurt daily and or a probiotic supplementation.
  • I thought so.. I have eaten yogurt my whole pregnancy.. and She literally ripped it out my hands and threw it away...
  • i've eatten yogurt everyday for like 3 months straight! people love to pretend they know EVERYTHING about pregnancy....

Throat punch her and tell her she owes you more yogurt.  Seriously, what the heck is her deal?

  • Did she say what her issue with it was? Just curious...

    The bacteria...

Ugh there is such thing as good bacteria plus it provides a ton of calcium and protein! A pregnant woman should be getting 80-100g of protein A DAY. MY Bradley instructor said the easiest way to do that is through cottage cheese and yogurt....plus if you add any fruit to that!

  • Ugh is right. If yogurt was dangerous your doc or provider would have mentioned something earlier.
  • she ripped food out of a pregnant woman's hand.. and then threw it out??? Does this woman have a death wish?? I am sitting here steaming for you. Yogurt is pasteurized. It's unpasteurized we are supposed to not eat. What a tit.

  • One of the very best foods you can eat!  Great for keeping you regular, great for keeping your "gut" (intestine) healthy, great source of protein if you can't keep down real meat, great source of calcium...seriously, it's like a pregnancy wonder food.  My doc wants me to eat it every day!
  • i sure hope so...i eat yogurt pretty much every day for breakfast! :)
