What age for Candy Land and Memory?

I bought both on sale but have not opened them yet...DD knows her colors but I am not sure if she would get the concept of a board game..

What is the avg age for this type of thing?

DD started to play Dora and Princess Matching Games when she was 2 1/2 but I would only take 2-4 sets of cards out and work with them. She was 3 for Candy Land.

memory - 2 1/2

candy land - 2 1/2 for the plastic kind with the dispenser

3 for the regular kind

DS started playing memory around 2, with just a few pairs of cards.  We got him candyland for his 3rd birthday and he just loves it!

Ha!  We have Candy Land and I would say don't open it until you are ready to commit to playing it 100x/day!

3 for candy land we started memory at 2 but just as a matching game not with them flipped over

We have both games and I just opened them a month ago (ds is 3.3). I did just by Hi Ho Cherry O - so we will see how he does with this too.

DD just turned 4. She's been playing candyland since and memory since about a month before she turned 3. Like pp we started with only a few sets of cards in memory, but now (this is a little embarrassing) she can beat me when I'm actually trying with the full deck.
