Hi ladies, happy to be joining you and soaking up all the knowledge/resources here.
DH & I just saw confirmation of two heartbeats on an ultrasound this afternoon.
This is my first pregnancy, I am due Sept 26, expecting fraternal twins and feeling SO blessed. There are no twins on either side of our family so we were completely shocked.
Looking forward to getting to know you
Re: happy to be joining you :)
Is everything going OK? Wondering why you had an ultrasound on a Sunday; hope all is well and that you have a happy and healthy pregnancy!

haha Yes, everything is ok. And you're very astute. My dad is a radiologist, and "snuck me in" to the hospital today because we were so impatient to see a healthy heartbeat. DH and I knew that there was a possibility for twins, since we'd seen two sacs at our first u/s with my OB at 5w (it had been too early to see any structures at that point). My parents, on the other hand, were NOT expecting twins, so they were laughing hysterically when they saw the monitor. It was pretty awesome :)Macc - You're boys are ADORABLE. Insanely adorable.
Congrats, and welcome!
Separate sacs/placentas doesn't guarantee that they're fraternal, though. If the egg split early enough, it's possible that they're identical. Ours are definitely fraternal, as we have one of each, but there are a few MoMs on here that have requested DNA tests and it turns out they have IDs.
Welcome & congrats! Very exciting news. Good luck with your preganancy.
It's good to see a fellow Wisconsin-ite on the multiples board.
