With DD I, too, failed the one hour.  I passed the three hour test.  What can you expect?  4 blood draws and a lot of boredom!  Bring a good book or something to keep you entertained.

For the 3 hr test, you will get there they will take some blood, give you that junk to drink, wait a hr test, wait another hr test and wait another hr test and you are done.  Take reading material it is quite boring.

I did this my 1st pregnancy - I suggest you plan to take the whole day off work. After having the 3 hr, I felt completely wiped out. The drink is yucky, as is expected. For me the worst part was that they stuck the crook of each elbow twice (a stick for fasting bs, 1 hr bs, 2hr bs, & 3hr bs). My inner elbows hurt like heck for days :-(  And I failed. But the GD is no big deal. I was diet controlled and didn't need insulin at all (except during L&D).
