Boston Babies

***leelee2005***

I was reading a post about Heywood hospital and I noticed that you said you lived in Templeton. DH and I have been looking at houses in Templeton and have seen a few we liked, but DH works in Harvard/Ayer and we wondered how long his commute would be. How long would a morning commute take do you think?? Also do you like living in Templeton? What's near you store-wise, entertainment wise, kid-wise??

Sorry for all the questions, but we're not from the area so I jump on every chance to pick the brain of someone living there. ;)

Thanks.

  • Sorry this has taken so long to get back to you. I am not from this area originally, I am from closer to Boston but I love living in Templeton. The home prices are so reasonable and you get more house for your money. The property taxes are also low. I work near Ayer and the commute would be about 25 -30 minutes but there is rarely any traffic so you just fly down route 2. I don't know if you use a daycare but again in Templeton the prices are comparitively low. There are a number of parks and mini shopping plazas. There is a mall in Leominster, which is about a 20 minute drive and there are many restaurants also in the area. You are only a little over and hour from Boston so you have all the attractions there for the family and kids. There is a wonderful Farmland in Sterling that my son just loves and that is also about 25 minutes away. I really like this area and if you have any other questions please feel free to contact me.
