Recommend your makeup

So, now that I am going to start taking better care of *me*, I think I'm going to get all new makeup, skincare, etc. I was thinking of going somewhere to kind of have it done and then buy the products that they recommend. So, where should I go? I think I'm ready to not be a Maybeline girl anymore

Do you have an Ulta?  They have a big selection of all different brands (higher end and not) and many of the women there are pretty knowledgeable. They can help you pick colors, etc. that are right just for your skin.

I use a combo of Smashbox, Bare Minerals, Lorac, and Revlon.

go to MAC and try the studio fix powder I call it my "face" couldn't live without it! I don't spend money on much there, just that and also the stubborn brown eyeliner pencil, it goes on so easily and is a very dark brown color that brings out my eyes and it's really blendable but stays in place.

Most of the stuff I use is higher end, but that Revlon Color Stay is the best! I was using BE, but switched because of recs I'd read there. I apply it w/ a smashbox #13 brush. For eyes, I picked up a Pixi pallate from Target (they also sell it at ULTA) but most of my shadows are MAC. I used Urban Decay Primer Potion under my eyeshadows. BadGal Plum for mascara (although Covergirl Lash Blast rocks my socks) and I curl my lashes using the Shu Uerma (sp?) curler.

Bare Minerals is fantastic! I have rosacea and it completely cleared up when I started using this make up.
