I made the switch from waxing to threading about a year ago, and I'm so glad I did. I like it much better than waxing for pain reasons, but everyone's different.
I've gotten them threaded before and as long as you have a person who is experienced, I personally don't think its more painful than waxing. Just might take a bit longer again depending on the person you get.
I had mine threaded once, and I did not find it particularly painful (and I am pretty much a baby about pain). My skin was a little red and puffy, but it wasn't bad. I've never actually had them waxed before (I'm a plucker), so I can't really compare.

I recently had this done for the 1st time an loved it. It was painful, but if you get somebody that is experienced it sould be fairly quick. Ice it when you get home and you will be good to go.
Make sure to tell the it's your 1st time. You will hae to hold your skin tight. They will guide you.
I originally just wanted them to "clean up" my eyebrows, but when wih they're suggestion to take a little more.

I personally did not think it was less painful than waxing. It is like plucking out 20 hairs at one time but having to do it like 15 times on each brow. But I am not a fan on any sort of pain on my face either.
Woah...I had never even heard of that before. Could be worth a try though.

I have not had it done yet, but have been wanting to get it done. I have heard though, that threading is better for your skin because it doesn't rip the skin like waxing does, nor does it burn the skin like hot wax can. HTH
Confession: I actually tried this on myself after watching a youtube instruction video. It's not very hard at all. I don't do it regularly, just a few times.

I may have to give this a try. I have tried waxing several times. However, everytime I have had my eyebrows waxed my skin has be burned bad enough to leave crusty stuff. By the time it heals, there is more hair to be waxed. So, currently, I pluck.

I must have had a sucky tech doing mine. It was by far WAY more painful than waxing. It gives me the chills even thinking about it. I liked it better than waxing, however. There were no breakouts and itchy skin and the redness went away quick!
I got my brows threaded after a friend recommended it. I always get waxed my brow lip bikini. When I got the threading done I felt like it hurt more then the waxing only upside was I wasnt as red but the grow back was faster. I think everyone is different though in how it will feel. I wont be doing it again.
This is going to sound really weird, but I used to work in a jail and the girls there would do it b/c obviously they couldn't have tweezers. It worked really well for them and I'm sure they didn't have the correct equipment for it. Their grow back time was long..lol.

Re: Eyebrow threading
Yep, I do it all the time.
It's less painful than waxing, and much cheaper, too.
I still get a bit of redness, but it goes away much quicker than a wax.

It's great! I on't have the patience for plucking, and the pulling at your skin waxing does is no good so it's a great alternative.
I always get mine threaded now! It's a LOT better than waxing IMO!
The only part that gets to me is when they get to the thick of your brow and you have lots of hairs that need to be plucked!!
Nor had I. Unfortunately I'm certain now one around here does this, Looks neat!
