Twins group or general mom's group?

I've got boy/girl twins and up until now I haven't felt the need to join any play groups. However, the kids are more interested in socializing. So my question is, if you have been part of a play group, which do you prefer (twins or general group) and why? I'm looking for something low to no drama.

So far I've done play dates with one other mom at a time, and several of our MoMs club play dates. I honestly LOVE the MoMs club play dates because I am so rarely around other twins in person, it's really nice to be in a setting where everyone "gets it," everyone has a double stroller, you're the norm instead of the novelty, etc. I do that once a month and then random playdates other times. I've never tried a regular moms club. I would try both and see where you connect best. You might end up staying involved in both!

I just do a general moms group.  I didn't want to pay to join a twins group.  I started going to a mom's group at a church, and a bunch of us (like 6 or 7) broke off and do monthly playdates and a few of us that don't work do weekly or biweekly playdates.  I found that while these other moms don't have twins, their babies are going thru the same things.  They also help me when I need it.  And all of them are great, we all live within about 2 miles, so our kids will grow up together, go to the same schools, etc.

Wow! I just realized I need to update my babies pics!  Those are newborn pics!

i checked out the local MoM group and dint click with any of the women there. i then checked out a 'regular' mom group and really like all the women so i am sticking with the general one. check them both out and see where you all feel more comfortable.
