Anyone in Winnipeg?

We're making a shopping trip up to Winnipeg this weekend. We're looking for a rocker or glider for our nursery. Anyone know of a furniture store that sells modern and/or unique furniture? We don't want the standard nursery glider. But, we can't afford to spend too much on it.

Also, I need some vintage looking fabrics. Know where I should shop?

 I am originally from Winnipeg (born and raised for the first 26 years) but now live in Ontario and will try to help you as best I can since I haven't lived there for over 6 years.

For fabric the best place to look is Mitchell Fabrics (www.mitchellfabrics.ca) they are the biggest fabric store in the city.  They are located at the corner of Main Street and Logan Avenue downtown and have just about anything you could want in fabrics and if they don't they should know another store that may have what you're looking for.

As for furniture, one of the best places to look is called Teak Furniture Centre on Sargent Avenue (in the St. James area), they have really nice stuff but it is a bit expensive.  You could also try Palliser Furniture or EQ3.
