I have been following EASY for a couple weeks and it is working out really good for us:
6:00- up, eat, back to bed
9:00- up, eat, play for an hour , back to bed until noon
12:00 up, eat, play for an hour, back to bed until three
3:00 up, eat, play for an hour, back to bed until 6
6:00 up, eat, play for an hour, back to bed until 9
9:00- feed , right back to bed. Sleep until 2
2:00- feed, right back to bed until 6
I do a routine for naps which is dim the lights in our bedroom (where I feed), sing songs and sometimes lay with them, swaddle, rock for a couple minutes and then put in their crib with the white noise machine on. Most of the time, they go right down
Sometimes they dont make it the full 3 hours though so the next time, I just let them sleep until the next feeding, even if it means they go longer than three hours. It normally evens itself out.

How do you "play"? Yes, I've gone through this before, but I can't remember how I used to entertain DS1, he's so much more active now that the NB stage seems kind of boring (still cute, but not much activity).
At this point, not much. Sometimes I take a small toy and hold it over their heads and try to get them interested in it. Most of the times I sing songs and move their arms and legs or read stories to them and touch their faces or bellies at certain times to interact with them. I will be honest, they aren't interested in much right now so its hard. And then sometimes I get lazy and just lay them on the activity mat and let them chill for a little. One thing I have found is that I have to be really careful not to overstimulate them because they get cranky.
