They are on the mend. Allistair is all better. Bess has a slight fever still but will not drink orange pedialyte from a bowl. Elton has a touch of it... but not as badly as the two of them.
The bad part is that we discovered.. in the course of everything else... that Bess has a congenital leg defect common to yorkies. We apparently have to get her knee surgery asap. So I guess I will be spending my maternity leave taking care of a recovering dog as well

I know!!! I can't believe how far we have all come.
Her knee has popped out of joint at least three times tonight... which means that we don't really have a choice. The doctor says she will have bad arthritis and lameness as she ages if we don't act:(
