1 cm dilated ?

I'm 1 cm dilated, so I'm a little freaked out because we are not ready. How long could I be dilated before going into labor?

A long time....lots of women walk around 2-3 cm dilated for weeks! I've been at 2 cm for over a week now.

March 2. I guess I just wasn't expecting to be dilated whenthe OB checked. I really want to make it at least 4 more weeks.

you can walk around like that for weeks and not go into labor, relax it could still be a long while.

Don't worry you have plenty of time. You can walk around dilated for weeks.

I was at 1cm from my first internal at 36 weeks until my induction at 42 weeks.

With DS I was at 1 cm for 2 weeks before making any progress, don't worry, if you aren't feeling anything you'll have time.
