My cervix has been over 4cm since they first started checking, so there haven't been any issues. But, why, now that I'm getting closer, would they not be checking that anymore?
mine has gotten checked at every appointment since 34 weeks. Dr. was not concerned about irritating the cervix and I have had no issues with the checks.
Prob worried about jumpstarting labor. I got checked for the first time at 33 weeks and had to go to L&D that night to stop contractions, got put on terb pills and bedrest. I got checked again at 36 weeks, stopped the terb, and my water broke that night!
