ugh...throwing superbowl party.

So dh  asks how I feel about having people over for teh superbowl?  he says that he doesn't even know if anyone is interested.  Our team is not in it and we live an hour away from all our friends.  i said ask and see what people think, would they come, would wives comes with kids etc.?  It makes no difference to me if dh has the guys over because i feel then they are on their own.

if wives and children come then I need to really entertain.  Well, a "feeler" e-mail to see what people are up ends up sounding more like an invite and now it seems like I am having a party.

I am working all week and now have to clean and make food.  this will also be the first time everyone sees our new house (no pressure)

ok vent over.  I never should have put this in the hands of dh.

  • We're hosting the SB party too.  We're providing alcohol, a big pot of chili and a dessert. In our evite, I asked everyone to bring their favorite app or dessert. Takes tons of the stress off. Could you do sort of a potluck?
  • I love having people over for the superbowl. However, everytime we try to host that or a 4th of July party, everyone who SAYS they'll come, don't. So, it ends up being a really small gtg. Frustrating.
