Middle names for Francis ...

Not to be rude - but I dont really care/want to know what you think of Francis - just looking for MN options that flow well with it.

I know this isnt a popular name choice but DH & I are entertaining it. We would call her 'Frankie'.

any ideas??

?

I've always loved the name Francesca so I could call me daughter "Frankie", would Francis be pronounced liked "Frances"?

I like the pp suggestions, Jean or Grace is nice too.

I think Francis Elizabeth sounds classic.  I've seen it more as a middle name, though, like Sarah Francis and my niece is Carly Francis.  You could still call her by her middle name.  All 4 kids in my family go by their middle name.

I love the PSA.  You do need to start with that, lol. FWIW- I love Frankie!

    Anyway, what about:

    Francis Marie

Francis Mae (OMG, calling her Frankie Mae would be so cute!)

    Francis Rae

    Francis Lynn

    Francis Grace

    Francis Elizabeth

    Francis Evelyn

I like something shorter, like Jean or Grace.  How many syllables in your last name?  That could affect it too.

    May/ Mae

    Rose

Kate (could be Katherine if shorter long name)

    Leigh/ Lee

    Lynne/ Lynn

Oh, I like Frankie Jean =)

"Jean" is the middle name of my mom, grandmom, and great grandmom.  I wish I could've  used it for Brynn, just is just does NOT go together.  Sigh.

The first name that popped into my head was Rose, but I also like the PP's suggestions of Elizabeth, Evelyn, and Grace.  I also agree that the length of your last name could impact which one sounds best.  I think Frankie is an adorable nickname. =)

I love love love the name Frances for a boy or a girl, but I did think that Francis with an "i" was for a boy and Frances with an "e" was for a girl. Am I wrong? Is it the other way around? (It will probably be the middle name for our child, regardless of gender!)

I love Frankie Mae! That's adorable!!

I also like Jean for the middle name. Courtney Love's/Kurt Cobain's daughter is named Frances Bean - I think that might be why Frances Jean sounds good to me - b/c it's familiar.

But I think Mae is the best!
