Foreign language classes for younger kids

DS's preschool offers an extra-curricular Spanish class that I am thinking of enrolling him in over the summer. I have a couple of concerns.

1) His Kindergarten next year doesn't offer Spanish, so he wouldn't be able to continue with it unless I look for lessons outside of school.

2) I'm wondering if it would be better for DH and I to learn Spanish with him so we could practice it together. There wouldn't be much opportunity for DS to speak it otherwise.

  • I think it's a good idea to sign him up. Kids are sponges at this age and even if there are no near future classes, he may remember a few things.
