DS has it.

Along with a case of bronchitis. He is on day five of having a fever. The pedi put him on a strong round of antiobiotics to knock out the bronchitis, but how long does RSV itself last? How long do babies usually have a fever? He's the most miserable 7 month old in the world right now and there's just nothing I can do. *sigh*

Poor little guy. I think ever case of RSV is different, we didn't have much of a fever with DD, but the cough lasted a long time. I hope you son feels better quick.

DS had RSV and bronchiolitis at 4 months of age, he had the fever for close to a week and the cough lasted the entire winter. He got RSV in November and the cough cleared up around March.

ETA: He was RSV negative a month after he was initially treated for it.

Poor Jude!! From what I understand the fever lasts 7-10 days. I hope he starts to feel better soon.

From what I can tell, every baby is different and RSV can be drastically different from one kid to another.

Henry never ran a fever, and his cough lasted about 10 days. He never got the terrible wheezing and labored breathing...however, he vomited up everything he ate for a solid week. It was horrible.

I hope your LO gets better quickly!

Wyatt had 3 days of fever, Rhett and Mason had 1. Wyatt coughed for 2 weeks, Rhett 1.5 and Mason is going on 2.5 and still sounds awful. All three of them got secondary ear infections.

Sabrina had this last week. She seems back to normal now. She had a fever for five days and of those days, she was totally listless for two of them. She also had a double ear infection so she's still on antibiotics to help that. It's a scary thing to go through and I hated seeing her so miserable. But she bounced back quick.

Wow....I feel like so many babies have come down with RSV in the past couple weeks. I hope your baby gets better quickly! (and I hope mine doesn't get it!)
