Update on DS- sort of

His pedi just called. His blood work from yesterday is back and his iron levels are a little high- nothing too alarming. His liver enzymes are normal now.

Pedi called the Infectious Disease doctor to give the go ahead to admit DS this week. There will be a whole team of doctor's to run a ton of tests to find out why he's getting these fevers. I did find out that they are not doing a Gallium Scan, but a different scan that I cannot even remember.

I'm just all over the place right now. I hate having to put him through all of this! He just doesn't act sick at all. How in the hell am I supposed to keep an otherwise healthy 18 month old occupied in a hospital room?

oh my! It's good that they are taking this seriously, but I feel bad about all the tests you and DS have to go through.   Do you have a portable DVD player?  I suggest getting some new toys that DS hasn't seen before as well as bringing some favorites.    Maybe bring a beach ball or one of those portable basketball hoops & ball... I would want to make sure DS had something to play with that would keep him moving.  How long will he be admitted?  Hang in there!
