sippy cups

Anybody having a hard time getting LO to figure out a sippy cup? We are still BF'ing and she gets a bottle at bedtime and day care, but we haven't been able to figure out the sippy cups we have - the Avent ones ( we also have the parts that make the regular bottles into a sippy cup at the top. Someone had recommended taking the valve off of it, but that just made a mess since everything just dripped right out. 

 Can anyone recommend their sippy cups that LO's took too well?

    he hated the avent one... but i just got him a Nuby one that has a nipplesque top to it... I think something that is transitional from nipple to cup.... might help.

    it remains to be seen....

    We have two nuby ones he does well with. One has a sift top and it says from 3 months + the other is like a straw and says 9 months + but he does pretty good with it.
