Hey girls,
So I've been on a crib hunt and hitting some roadblocks. Apparently 90% of the manufacturers out there have their cribs made in China, even brands like Stanley's Young America! So the ones I were able to find so far that look promising are Romina, Argington, Mother Hubbard & Natart. I would really like to go with something green and sustainable.
Any recommendations?
Thanks much!
Re: In search of Cribs made in USA, Canada or Europe
Our Stanley is made in the USA. I just looked at their website and the one that came up was made in the USA. Maybe you need to look a little closer.

We are going the non-toxic route as well --- Stokke and Ikea are 2 options of sustainable cribs.
Also you might have a real wood store near you with furniture made in the USA.

This. This has changed from the last version of Baby Bargains which states they are still made in China. As an added bonus, they are trying to fulfill all orders in 2 weeks with none taking longer than 4 weeks. We had our crib and dresser within 2.5 weeks of ordering it.
We ordered our granddaughter's big girl furniture from Stanley last year. It was all made in the US and marked as such.
Her nursery furniture is Dutailier, solid wood, made in Canada.
I just ordered a convertible crib made by Baby's Dream and they're based in Georgia. Here's the link (sorry not clicky) if you want to read more about them:

I love the fact that they plant 2 trees for every tree they use to make the baby furniture. They also have a great selection from more traditional to modern furniture.

I also have a crib from Baby's Dream for DS (so i've had it for 2 1/2yrs). Love it. Bought another one from them for DD. Haven't put it together yet... want to paint the nursery first.
I also love that they plant 2 trees for every one they use. They also have non-toxic finishes and don't use any MDF, so Zero formaldehyde emissions.
