From time to time I take something out of my freezer to make one thing and then wonder what else I can make with it. Which I am sure you have seen me ask about a few other meats by now. So... What do you make with your ground turkey? I have mine divided in the freezer in 1lb. packages.

Re: what do you make with your ground turkey?
DH and I both think it's really tasty to brown up the ground turkey and then add taco-seasoning mix to it.
Usually we'll take that meat and put it over a baked potato with a bit of sour cream, handful of cheddar cheese and some butter spray. That with some steamed broccoli is one of our favorite meals.
I don't eat beef, so I use ground turkey breast to make anything you can make with ground beef -- burgers, meatloaf, meatballs, pasta, chili, tacos, etc.
Chili, Sloppy Joes & Meatball Subs (both Biggest Loser recipes), Tacos. Pretty much anything I can make with hambuger.
Sometimes I make a FauxMac, which is a turkey burger with a little bit of crackers and chicken broth mixed in on a bun with FF Thousand Island, pickles, onion and lettuce.
My husband isn't a big fan of ground anything so we don't eat it often (no chili, no meatsauce, etc). But I do make baked turkey meatballs and these turkey burgers. They are DELICIOUS!

I substitute in ground turkey for any recipe that calls for ground beef. I don't like ground beef's taste and prefer the 99% lean ground turkey instead. If I need a bit more fat added (like for burgers) I just put in a tbsp or two of EVOO.
Where do you pick up your ground turkey? The reason I ask is because here, I get it for $6.25 a pound (yikes!) and it's never on sale. What % fat do you use?
Hawaiian burgers (with grilled pineapple!)
Goulash
Chili (the turkey gives it amazing flavor!!!)
Lasagna (again, such better flavor than beef!)
Chicken lettuce wraps (because ground turkey is MUCH cheaper than ground chicken and doesn't get as dry!)
My own version of Hamburger Helper, I call it Meaty Mac!
And I'm currently working on a Bolognese with ground turkey... once I'm sure it's perfect, I'll get it up on my blog.
Those other recipes are all on my blog now!

I made turkey meatballs for the first time two days ago. They were easy and turned out really well. I just mixed the ground turkey with some panko bread crumbs, egg, worsteshire sauce, a bunch of spices/seasonings, mushed it all together, formed balls, and baked them. Then I simmered them for about 30 minutes in some homemade tomato sauce.
My go-to is spaghetti pie, which is simple and loved by all in my family. :-) You grease a baking dish, put a layer of cooked angel hair pasta on the bottom (we usually use whole wheat), then a layer of sour cream, cream cheese, and onion powder all mixed together, then a layer of ground turkey mixed with marinara, then top it with shredded cheddar and bake.
We also love crunchy turkey tacos with shredded cheese, lettuce, salsa, and sour cream.

Eek! I'm a soon-to-be SAHM, but we are a member at a Sam's Club, if there's one near you. We get packages of Jennie O's ground turkey - 5 lb.s for $9.98! Great deal!
