Babies: 9 - 12 Months

Freezing pacifiers?

Has anyone done this??  I thought I read you weren't supposed to, but I don't know why.  DS has his first bottom tooth poking through and he's not too fond of the teething rings with the liquids inside.

Any other tips for helping with the pain?  The boy HATES Orajel, LOL.

Re: Freezing pacifiers?

  • Never tried the frozen paci, but DD LOVES a frozen washcloth.  Just get it wet, wring it out, roll it up, and freeze.

  • Have you tried Teething Tablets? Also an ice cube in a mesh feeder was one of Avery's favs!

This is what I was going to say!  My DD also liked the "gel teethers" when they weren't cold for some reason.

Thanks!  I'm going to go put some in the freezer.  :)

  • DD loves frozen washcloths. We do a frozen banana or peaches in a mesh feeder too

  • Because you can break their teeth.  Never freeze a pacifier.  Just put it in the refridgerator.  You can freeze a wet wash cloth
  • I've tried the frozen paci thing. DD doesn't have any teeth but I just wanted to see it in action hehe :o) It was a mess. The water melts in about 30 seconds, so she was left with a wet shirt and a regular paci.
