Sounds gross, right? Pureed black beans in place of eggs and oil. But they're actually not bad - the texture is a little odd, but they're pretty fudgy, no real "bean" taste to them.
But every so often while eating one, I get a little unpureed black bean skin/husk/whatever...and it's a little disconcerting, I must say.
Re: OK, I made some brownies with black beans...
The skin thing would drive me crazy.
Where did you get the idea for this recipe? I've never heard of such a thing.
Damn.. now I want brownies!
DS used to gobble these. I couldn't stomach them:

It's weird what being on WW does to your standards of acceptable foods. My H won't touch them, lol.
lololololol
Don't eat too many or you'll be sleeping on the couch
Have you ever tried using apple sauce instead? I've heard it's good but never tried it.

When I was on South Beach, my dessert used to be ricotta cheese mixed with cocoa powder and Splenda. It was horrid.
Now none of my jeans fit, but my dessert today sure was tasty! ;-)
Oh, the dark days of South Beach. **shudder** I lost 16 pounds in two weeks, and I was miserable. That ricotta shiit was the worst.
Oh no - wait - the WORST was the pureed cauliflower masquerading as mashed potatoes.
Ditch the black beans. Use pumpkin instead. Much easier and less messy since you don't have to puree yourself, and no weird texture issues.
I like the black bean brownies! I was surprised at how well it worked - I was very skeptical. DH on the other hand, won't touch them. (Actually, he ate them and liked them until I told him what was in them - now any time I make brownies he double checks, "these are NORMAL brownies right?")
I'm intrigued by the pumpkin though - might have to try that next time.
