anyone use lupron trigger shot?

Has anyone used a lupron trigger shot?  Tomorrow I was supposed to trigger with ovidrel, but today after my appt, they called me and told me my estradiol levels were high, and that they want to suddenly switch me to a lupron trigger shot.  They had to call all over just to find it for me and I had to run and pick it up from a local hospital.  Anyone else have the high estradiol level or do a lupron trigger or had something similar happen to them?   This has made me very worried about ohss.    saifw

When I got my second opinion, my Dr. that he would trigger me with Lupron because my E2 levels tended to always get too high.  It will avoid OHSS because Ovridril stays in your system for about 10 days which keeps your Estrogen high and when you use Lupron in just helps your surge and then leaves your body and therefore avoiding OHSS.

I'll be doing IVF #2 next month and will be using Lupron as a trigger for the 1st time.  I did Ovidrel last time.  I had OHSS.  It was mild to moderate and was on bedrest for 3 weeks.  I actually had very mild OHSS before I even triggered with Ovidrel.  They are hoping the Lupron trigger will avoid me getting OHSS or will minimize it.  Good luck to you!!!

My RE ordered me the Lupron Trigger since I have PCOS and may overstimulate.

I just did this past MOnday.  I had to take it 36 hrs. before hand, (8pm) and then the next morning as a booster (8am).  They had my come in around noon the day before the ER to do b/w to make sure that it worked.

I was skeptical of using the Lupron, but it worked fine.  We got 22 eggs (we had a horrible fert rate 30% compared to last time 70% but we have severe MF and it is blamed on that...though i am blaming the lab right now:P) I don't think it had anything to do with the lupron. I also used the antagonist protocol this time and did not do lupron in the beginning. 

My first cycle i did long lupron.  I had to coast for a day b/c my E2 hit 7200. I ended up losing a LOT of eggs.  We retrieved 14, 11 were mature, and we ended up with 5 blasts.  We had to freeze everything b/c i developed OHSS already by the time of the ER.   We were very fortunate to get our DD on our FET#1.

I do feel much better this time around.  Last time, by now i was in pain and had severe bloat.  Tomorrow is my ET---which is nice, since i never made it there the last time!

I did It worked great. It's out of your system way faster than Ovidrel and will help prevent OHSS. I had a great response and did not get OHSS. I had 23 follies retrieved.  GL!!
