Because mine is not. He just wants to be "comfortable" and wear jeans and a t-shirt all the time. I have tried to tell him that he can even wear good-looking jeans and a nice t-shirt (when appropriate) and look cute... but he doesn't want to spend the money. So... I told him when he deployed I was throwing away all his clothes and buying him new ones.
And... I kind of did, lol. I seriously got rid of half his wardrobe that's ugly and ill-fitting. I kept his favs for hanging out around the house/lake/whatever, but other than that... gone (well... not GONE gone; in a bag in storage. But he'll forget about them and then they'll be gone.) And I'm going to buy him some new clothes before he comes home (next weekend- yayyyyy!!). So- if your husband is a good dresser, where should I shop?? I need to just get him some basics to start with and them drag him along with me later for more
Re: Is your husband a good dresser?
In general mh is a great dresser. But there were a few shirts that went missing after we moved in together. hehe.
When does your hubby return? I can't imagine how hard that must be!
Six daysssss! It's so surreal. I don't think I'll believe it until I see him standing in front of me, lol.
Yay! That's awesome!
Oh smooch! I had no idea he was coming home SO SOON! Oh, I'm a little weepy for you!
So, MH is a better dresser than me ) He works for a clothing company (in the corp office)...so he does most of is basic shopping there but goes to Nordies, Macys-blah blah blah for the key parts like suits, sweaters, jeans.
Gotta love my bargin shopper/ clothes whore/ clothes hunter!

We still don't know if they are flying into the airport or the base, but the kids and I will be there no matter what! I sort of selfishly hope it's the base just so his WHOOOLE family doesn't have to join us, lol (I'm the only one with a military ID). He keeps saying he just wants the five of us to come home, eat American pizza, and lay on the couch together, but there's no way they will let that happen.
Thanks for all the suggestions on the clothes! I'm going to try to go this week to re-stock his closet for him
ETA: I should say... If it were DS that were gone that long, I'd want to see him when he got back too, so I don't blame his parents for tryin!
My DH is a jeans and t-shirt kind of guy. He wears khakis and a dress shirt for church or anything else that warrants dressing up, but that's about it.
I don't worry about it too much. I wear a lot of jeans, too.
No. When he's on the road he wears khakis and polos with the company logo and when he's home he wears his bathrobe (works from home).
Ugh.
Yes - but only b/c I pick out his clothes.
He wears shirt/tie/dress pants to work. I have to watch, though, b/c sometimes he'll wear a pattern tie with a pattern shirt. I also have watch in the summer b/c if it's really hot - he wants to wear a short sleeve button down with a tie - which I think is tacky.
When he's not working and he's lounging at home, it's PJ pants and a tee shirt and for going out or whatever else he'll do nice jeans or khakis with nice casual dress top. Church clothes are kiind of between the latter and his work attire.
If he had his way, he'd wear jeans, sneakers, and his "hot damn" or "will sell wife for beer" t-shirt.
