I just responded to your post below, but I just wanted to say that as an owner of a 1919 house that we bought 3 years ago--its a lot of work, and takes a TON of money to renovate, even more than you think it would cost. If you had the $ to to do that, then great (some people LOVE a historic home, like us!!!!) but if the funds aren't there, I would reconsider.
