Non-clicky: Reduce, reuse, recycle

Which of these three do you think you do the best on a regular basis?

I think I reduce and reuse the best. A few examples of how I reduce waste are to use cloths instead of paper towels, bring my own bags to the store and collect cold water for watering plants. I reuse items like boxes for storage, reuse wrapping paper when I can....etc.

I'm not great at recycling. I am trying to work on this.

  • Recycle and reuse.

I admit we suck hardcore at the reducing.

  • Reducing and recycling, not so much on the reusing. We don't use paper paper towels, but that's the only thing I can think of that we really reuse.

  • Recycling is the easiest for me.  The amount of stuff we keep out of our garbage each week is amazing!  There is a paper only bin in the alley behind our house that backs up to an elementary school.  We can walk our paper trash out there everyday.

Reducing is a little trickier.  I use my own bags, cloth diapers, and turn off lights/electronics when not in use.

  • We recycle like crazy. Our recyclables take up more room than our trash does every week. It's pretty easy here because they do curb-side pickup, but we usually have too much to deal with that, so we take it to the bins in town.
  • We're doing pretty good at reuse and recycle but need to work on reduce more...a lot more.
  • We recycle and reduce.  Working on reusing.

  • I always thought they were listed in order of importance... ? So I guess I'd say reduce is best :)  We're working on that. We recycle tons, I've gotten much better at reusing, but I'm still trying to cut down on what we bring into the home in the first place.
