And why?

Re: What convertible carseat will you be using?

  • DH is the consumer reporter in our family so I don't have all the details. But he's decided on Britax. Best safety rating. When it comes to LO's safety, we go with the best.

I'm not sure which... Marathon, Boulevard... DH has the details.

  • Thanks for reminding me...we have been putting off carseat shopping. Silly baby is already reaching this one's limit and I somehow naively thought she'd fit in her first carseat for close to a year! lol

My best friend who is prego and Ms. Consumer Report also advised me to go with Britax.

  • We choose the Evenflo Triumph b/c the safety ratings on Consumer Reports was comparable to the Britax seats, other reports had them equally rated w/Britax and it is 1/2 the price!!!

This. We went with the Boulevard because you don't have to re-thread it to make height adjustments and you do with the Marathon.

  • We're getting the My Ride 65.  Mostly because  you can keep them rear facing until 40lbs in it and harnessed to 65lbs.

  • we have a britax marathon and also bought it on sale. we decided on it just because the reviews were so good and it was recommended by other nesties. we just purchased the cosco scenera for when we travel because i'm not about to let the britax get destroyed in baggage and the cosco was recommended as a best buy from consumer reports. some of the reviews say it's not very padded but definitely safe so i'm okay with it for travel and only about $60.

  • True fit. I love it but it's a PITA to install. I talked to a lot of people about car seats when I was pregnant because it was a very important subject to me. A lot of people recommended to the True Fit. We have Natalie in it and she loves it as well.

  • We have a Britax Marathon and a Roundabout. They're very user friendly, easy to install, easy to use, just overall outstanding seats. Love them.
