How do you clean bath toys?

Usually I just toss them and buy new when they get skuzzy, but that hardly seems economical. I was thinking of throwing them in the dishwasher. Any other ideas? Also, I have one of those rubber spout covers and when I took it off to clean the tub the other day I noticed some black mold looking stuff in it. Should I toss that or is there a way to save it?

I always toss them in the washer with some bleach.

I soak them overnight in a bucket of 1/2 bleach, half water and then rinse them really well.

Same suggestions as above, and once they're really clean, I've been using Clorox Anywhere Hard Surface Sanitizing Spray (get it at Target) on them after each use, and it has really cut down on the mold/mildew issue.

We keep them in one of those mesh lingerie bags, which I toss in the washer every week or two.

we gave up on bath toys. he just wants to 'swim' or a throw a few squirt bottles in there...
