Can you be allergic to Vaseline?

Dd got into a jar of Vaseline tonight and rubbed it all over her arms & legs. Big greasy mess!

Anyhow, now she's got this tiny pin-prick like rash all over her arms and legs. Is it possible to be allergic to Vaseline/petroleum jelly? My initial google search didn't bring up anything useful and this really isn't worth an after-hours call to the pediatrician at 10:00 on a Friday night...

I guess anyone can be allergic to anything.  I hope the rash goes away quickly.

Maybe it was more of an irritation then an allergy? DS's skin gets weird if it is too moist/too dry.
