Babies: 3 - 6 Months

ferber?

Just wondering..if you guys have tried it? did it work for you? and how long did it take?

TIA

Re: ferber?

  • We did it for DD1 when she was 9 months. She was waking every 2 hours to be comfort nursed back to sleep (and that would take 30-45 mins each time) and we just couldn't do it anymore and she was suffering from it (not that anyone needs to justify their parenting reasoning ;)

Anyway, it worked in about 3 days and I don't think she ever cried past the 2nd or 3rd check-in. She went from waking every 2 hours to waking just once a night and I was thrilled with that after 9 months of torturous nights! I wouldn't do it to just drop a night feeding or whatever, but I think it works well when there is an actual sleep problem. Of course every baby is different and it depends on their temperament, but it worked really well for us. GL in your decision!

  • It's working for us for bedtime but not really so much for naps yet. Get the book. It has a lot of good info in it.
