How do you know to move up a nipple size?

Shes been looking a little frusterated lately when shes on the bottle sucking super hard. We use the Dr Browns bottles and still have been using the same level one nipple. I just went out today and got level 2.

Will I be able to tell if its coming out to fast for her? and how? Will she cough or pull away?  Will it dribble down her chin?

We moved up when he started getting frusterated and sucking really hard, like you said.  When he was getting used to it, he would cough a little bit and a bit would come down his chin, but after the second bottle or so he had no problems and ate like a champ!

I just tried every once in a while until half the bottle wasn't down his chin with the faster nipple.  I'd say just give it a shot and see how Miss Ava does

The box said 3 months for Playtex nipples, and at 3 months and 2 weeks he looked like he was working pretty hard so we tried the new ones. He still makes more of a mess than he used to so we think he's getting used to them.
