Way TMI but need some advice

Why does pooing hurt so effing bad?  I would honestly go through those pitocin contractions over pooing again.  It feels like razors.  What the heck am I supposed to do?

  • If you're still in pain pooping this long after delivery you should definitely talk to your doctor.

  • You may need to see the doctor if it's still hurting you. I had pretty bad hemi's and 3 months later I am much better. Doesn't nearly hurt as bad as it did. Also, make sure you a taken some sort of fiber or eating fiber rich foods. It will allow your poo to be soft and give you time to heal.
  • I take magnesium citrate at night before bed, it helps a LOT!  Ask your doc though, what's okay and what isn't.  GL!

  • Are you constipated from BFing?  BFing makes you constipated.  I used Colace for a month after I delivered.  If it's from stitches, I can't help: I had a c-section!
  • Hi,

I just wanted to let you know you are not alone w/this issue.  I experienced this after my first daughter's birth and again with my second daughter.  I am still going through issues.  The only thing that brings some relief is taking Citrucel daily.  I take it every night before bed.  I am nursing and it has been approved by both my Dr. and the pedi.  Hot baths also work very well.  I think it lasted about 6 months with my first.  I am so sorry!  Hang in there, it will go away soon!
