The PP got me thinking-- what do you do when you take your LO to the grocery store?  If i'm just getting a few things, I keep Connor in his infant carrier in the basket itself, which he thinks is kind of fun.  When can he sit in the top of the shopping cart?  He doesn't sit unassisted yet.

I have only had to take her once (my DH usually does the shopping). But I put her in the big main basket in her carseat, all the food got stuffed in around her carseat!

I wear her in the Moby or the Mei Tai.  She loves it and I don't have to worry about where she is because she's on me!

I wear DS in the Moby or Baby Bjorn pretty much everywhere we go.  I like to zip him inside my coat to keep him warm on the way inside and that infant carrier got pretty heavy!  He really likes to look around once we're there and have all of the old ladies at the supermarket "ooh" and "ahh" over him.  He's practically a celebrity.

if she's asleep, I leave her in the carrier and put her in the front of the buggy. If she's awake, I wear her. I prefer to wear her but I don't want to wake her to get her out of the car seat if she is sleeping.

I never go alone. I push the stroller, SO pushes the cart. I won't venture out alone until she can sit in the cart unassisted.

That's what I do when we go to Target. I have yet to take B grocery shopping by myself. Usually, that is daddy bonding time at our house and I go alone.
