rice cereal - how much formula?

We're going to try rice cereal tonight (per pedi's suggestion).  The Beech Nut carton says to add formula for "desired consistency".  I don't know how thick it's supposed to be...

 

If we use 1 tablespoon of cereal, about how much formula should we use?  Tablespoon?  Ounce?

    We started w/ a half scoop of formula (1 oz) mixed with 1/2 a scoop (the scoop that we use for formula) of rice cereal.  Sometimes he will eat double that so it just depends but that is where we started and it gave a pretty soupy consistency.

    When we first started out - DD didn't like it too thick  so we actually used an ouce of formula for 1 tbsp of cereal.  

    Now, she takes about two tablespoons and it's about 1 1/2 oz of formula.  Play with it and see what they like.
