Re: If your LO has excema

  • Aveeno Creamy Wash/Lotion (unscented)
  • Loading the player...
  • Either Aveeno or Cetaphil
  • Nothing really helps a ton, but we use Aveeno wash and then baby lotion.  The Eucerine the pedi gave us is just too sticky.  Does your LO also have cradle cap?  My LO has a cradle cap/excema combo.  We use olive oil on the cradle cap and I think it washes onto his body and helps a little.
  • We've been using cetaphil cream, and really slathering it on.  It helps when we remember to use it.
  • We use regular Johnson & Johnson baby wash. But then use Aquaphor Baby lotion. And when they get bad flair-ups, hydrocortisone cream to treat it.
  • someone recommended California Baby Calendula cream to me for cradle cap since DD has a lot of hair and it's not greasy.  Well I have to say it is AWESOME.  DD has a little eczema and it works great for that, it cleared up diaper rash overnight, and I use it on my own (mild) psoriasis with great results.  I'm not big on having to have organic stuff since it's more expensive, but this was the only thing I could find that wasn't too greasy and I LOVE it!

    ETA: Here's a link

and we also use the shampoo/body wash.
