Vent-pissed at DH (long)

For the last week DS has not been sleeping well at home. He takes long naps at daycare and then he doesn't want to sleep at night. I'll change him and feed him and now he wants to play, he used to go right back to sleep. This is seriously starting to take a toll now that I'm back at work but I figure this too shall pass.

On Wednesday night DH went to hockey and when it got cancelled he went out for a beer. No big deal. About 20 minutes after he got home DS woke up. I had just fed him an hour before so I knew he wasn't hungry, so I asked DH to go in (we bf).  DH complained that "now I'm going to be up for another hour and a half", but he came back a half hour later. I'm thinking way to go you got him to sleep. DS woke up an hour later hungry and my cycle started again while I let DH sleep.

Last night, while we are out at dinner with a group of friends, DH casually throws out that he got frustrated so he just put DS in his crib crying and walked off until he stopped crying. This is why I'm pissed. We are not doing CIO, I don't know if we will but we aren't yet, and CIO does not mean just put them in the crib until they stop!! DS must not have cried too long since DH was back in 30 minutes and DS was quiet but I wish he would have just come and gotten me if he couldn't take it. I have told him I'm not okay with CIO and I feel like we aren't on the same team right now.

I haven't said anything yet, since we were at dinner. Then when we got home I was so tired I didn't want to get into it, I just wanted to go to bed. He knows somethings wrong though. I keep trying not to be pissed but I am.

I would have gotten mad if DH did that and came to bed and never mentioned it, too. And then for you to first hear of it in front of others! What's done is done, your LO is okay. I wouldnt freak on him cause it might discourage him from helping, but I would DEFINITELY have a calm conversation about why it wasnt right.

I totally agree-I'd be very mad too, but you need to address him in a calm manner and talk this through. Let him know why it bothers you and why it's not okay to just let him cry like that. ?
