Babies: 3 - 6 Months

Is she really teething at 3 months?

She's showing all the signs of drooling, fussing while nursing, chewing on her hands. She was just on her playmat and started to drool a little. Then all of a sudden it was pouring out of her mouth and she started screaming. Nothing would comfort her, so I gave her a dose of Tempra and now she's swinging happy as can be.

She's also been waking for her paci about half a dozen times a night. Is this because she's teething?

I just don't know what else to do at this age to help her! She can't hold things with her hands quite yet, so her teethers and Sophie aren't doing much.

Re: Is she really teething at 3 months?

  • Our little guy has been teething since about 3 months. No teeth yet but he goes through 2 or 3 days of grumpy drooly chewy teething then it's done for now. I think he'll pop some teeth out soon though because now his gums look kind of red and swollen at the front where teeth would be when he goes through a 'teething' session.

When he was 3 months going through it we'd just give him a face cloth that was damp and kept in the fridge or freezer to chew on, he liked that. And tylenol or tempra when it was really bad at night.

  • Yeah my LO has been teething since 1 1/2 months. Now it's really intense all the normal stuff. Yesterday someone suggested Hylands tablets and while you're in there to massage her gums. I haven't tried it yet but am told that it works wonders.
  • Yep, I just found her 1st white nub poking through earlier this week. When I mentioned that I thought it was a bit early on fb, tons of people responded that their LOs were the same age. My aunt even said that my cousin already had 2 teeth by DDs age.
  • I'm not trying to pimp my blog out or anything, but my last post was about the question of teething.  I'm actually hoping if someone reads this, they might have a solution to my mystery!  Please take a look and see what you think.  Link in sigggy. Thanks!! :)
  • Yep, I can already see two teeth on the bottom peeking through.
