Babies: 3 - 6 Months

Nutramigen users, a ?

DD was switched to Nutramigen last Friday, and she has been transitioned to 100% Nutramigen over the course of a week.  The problem though is that her poop is now really runny.  She's not pooping any more than she was (once a day), but every time it's runny.  Did anyone else deal with this and how long did it take to resolve?  TIA!

Re: Nutramigen users, a ?

  • Please watch for a horrible diaper rash. My DS was on Nutramigen and his poop stayed runny. But after a week, or maybe less, he got a horrible, bleeding diaper rash. I know of a couple of other people this has happened to. If a bad rash starts, please talk to the pedi and don't take no for an answer. We dealt with a bad rash for at least 6 weeks and every time I brought it up I was told it was either a yeast rash or I was doing something wrong.

But the poop is runny because Nutramigen is pre-digested so its easier to get rid of.
