OK be straight with me

I am making some purchases on Amazon.com and they have the Sophie. It seems a bit pricey ($17) so I am just wondering if it is really worth it for DD. She already has a ton of toys, and plenty of teethers, but is this the end-all be-all in terms of purchases for LO's??  Help me out!

P could care less and rarely plays with it ot touches it, but I know other LOs on here LOVE theirs.

From my understanding, if you have it your DD will love it.  If your DD doesn't have it, she won't miss it.

We don't have one.

we have it, but its just another toy to him...he hates everything, unless its a boob.

I don't have it and don't plan on getting one.  Def seems too pricey to me and she has a fave thing to chew on now anyways.

Here are my positives and negative thoughts about it:

- it's freaking expensive for something you're not sure your LO will like

- it's a little awkward to figure out what part LO can get in his mouth and chew well

+ DS loves his!

+ This is the first toy he's actually grabbed and brought up to his mouth rather than me holding it for him

 

For me it was worth it. And I figured that if he didn't like it now, he may probably like it later because it squeaks like a dog toy.
