Grunting?

My LO grunted ALL the time when he was little but he's almost 6 months old now and has recently started doing it again! I don't think it's anything diet related because I'm on a dairy free diet- but he has found his voice recently and squeals and babbles and I'm wondering if the grunting is just another noise that he knows how to make....most of the time he's pretty happy when he does it but he also does it when he's upset. Anyone else have a LO that grunts all the time now?

    My DS just starting doing this on Monday.  He is grunting and squealing, especially when I talk to him...it's like he is trying to talk back...and when he is mad, he also grunts.
