I know I've read about it here and there, but don't know too much about it. A friend was diagnosed with it tonight and is hoping to hear some hopeful stories about successful pregnancies after diagnosis. Anyone care to share their stories, or do you know anyone with PCOS?
Re: do you know anything about PCOS?
About to go to bed, but I have it.
DD1- Dr. put me on clomid, pregnant 1st cycle.
After that, I tried for 2 mo with #2 and got pregnant. The first pregnancy kind of cleared up my issues.
I will say, there are all different outcomes, I was extremely lucky. I just wouldn't freak out if I was her until I spoke more with my dr. about a plan of action if she is trying to ttc.
good luck to her!
I have it as well. Lost of moms with it have gotten pregnant just by losing weight and going on Metforim
this is a great site full of information and a chat board

Belle,
That is a great site!
I have PCOS and diabetes and was told I would never get pregnant. I also have a pituitary tumor and was on a medicine to shrink it that happens to be a fertility medicine (but I did not know it at the time) and I got pregnant.
It is certainly possible. Have your friend do her research and make sure she finds a good doctor to work with.
