Anyone have an abnormal pap?

I have never until a few weeks ago. My mom says that she and my sisters all had an abnormal pap right after having babies. I am waiting to do another in 6 months but was wondering if this is common.

I know that an abornormal pap doesn't always mean something bad. My Mom has never had a normal pap in her life, but she is perfectly healthy.

I have had two abnormal paps in my life...one before giving birth and one after... I am sure your second pap will turn up normal as the doctors have told me that it is very common after giving birth.

Yep.  I got a call after my 6 week PP appt. that my results were abnormal.  I go back in June for my follow-up.

I always have abnormal ones but I'm HPV positive

It's not completely umcommon. many things can cause abnormal paps.

i had an abnormal pap 2 years ago.  they did biopsy and then i had to do frequent paps every month or two...for several months.  everything since then has come back normal.  GL!

My pp pap was abnormal and I was told that that was normal (lol) and to have it redone in a few months.  They said it happens all the time and that we just did it too soon.

Mine was abnormal. They did a colposcopy and then I ended up with a LEEP procedure (had bad cells and displaysia...they removed)

All better now. Not the most fun I've ever had... but compared to L&D it was cake!

this exactly.  Had this after my first child.  Problems dilating with next 2 children though.  But otherwise fine.
