C-Section MaMa's.......

If having more children...will you try VBAC with the next one or will you have another scheduled C?

  • We plan on having two more and I'm on my third c-section. They said my uterus and incision looked fine, they did some scar tissue revision during my last one.

  • I had a lot of issued because of my unplanned cesarean, but now that I know what to expect, I'm not sure if I will attempt one. Plus, at the hospital I delivered in that my OB uses they don't allow VBACs, so I'd have to go to a different one.
  • I'll try for a vbac if I can.  Unfortunately, I had a failed induction, so we'll see if my body wants to not go into labor again...  If I have to be induced again, I might sign on for the C Section.  The Pit was awful, didn't work on me AT ALL, and they had to keep turning it down after hours of it because it was affecting dd's heartrate.  I'm truly hoping for a vbac though.  We shall see...

This was pretty much me too! After two days on PIT I ended up in a C-section. I believe you cannot be induced for a VBAC so we'll see if my body goes into labor on its own. If not than another C-Section.

  • Interested in everyone's thoughts...DD never turned and my OBis pretty sure it's because of my pelvis. I would like to have tried....but looks like I'm a c-section mama for all my future children

  • I have had 3 c-sections.  My DH and I decided that a VBAC wasn't for us but I know several people who have had successful ones!  It all comes down to what works for your family. :)
  • Nope, I was told I would have to have c-sections with any more delivery's.  I'm ok with that. I just hope for another easy recovery.

  • I think I will try. I didn't expect a c-section this time around, my daughter just didn't want to come out. Maybe the second child won't be so stubborn!!!

  • I had a c-section the first time because the baby wasn't as far down as he should've been and also because the estimated weight. I didn't want a c-section now that I've experienced it I would do it again because I know what to expect. Also, I didn't go through labor pain and all...I'm not one for pain!!!
