If you FF, come on in!-Gotta question

I EP but have recently had to start supplementing because I am not making enough. I have tried 2 formulas so far Similac Advanced and Enfamil Premuim Lipil and both smell horrid. If this sounds silly, please done flame me but are there any formulas with a more pleasant smell/taste or do they all kinda smell like metal? My DD is not all that pleased when we have to give her formula and im wondering if its because of the smell/taste. I mean they are really stinky! What kind of formula do u use and do you notice a metallic smell?

try mixing 1/2 BM 1/2 Formula to help her get used to the formula. They all smell pretty gross.

I had to start supplementing pretty early on and my DS didn't love the formula either. The smell bothered me too. Now that I'm only using formula, I don't notice it at all and Carter eats just fine.

Sorry but they all smell terrible....you kind of get used to it, and it might take her a little while to get used to it since it tastes different than breast milk it probably isn't the smell.  PP had a great idea about transitioning.

out of all the ones we tried, we decided the target brand gentlease smelled the best!

I must be the only person not to notice a "horrible" smell!

Anyhow, we used Similac Advance until we could finally switch to Up&Up prebiotic formula (her tummy issues + the Target formula before was more like Enfamil).

goodstart smells MUCH less then the others.

I EBF (pumped) for 6 weeks.  I gave her and enfamil sample from the hospital once and her poop and smell were terrible.  I hated it.  I gave her goodstart and her poop is almost exactly the same.  She seems to really like it and is putting on weight.  She doesn't smell as sweet as EBF but doesn't smell bad.  

I also like the goodstart checks.  I hope they keep coming!
