So my parents have one at their house that DD LOVES to play in and bounce away. It is a little too big for our house so I wanted to get a smaller one. I looked in baby bargains and they do not really like them due to studies that show kids that use an exersaucer have delayed learning and delayed walking skills than the kids that do not use the exersaucer....what the heck?!? I still really want to get one.....so which one did you get, brand and model?
Re: Have you bought an Exersaucer? Baby Bargains does not like them...
I have one and she LOVES it. I am not concerned about it delaying anything... she doesn't spend hours a day in it.. She probaby would if I let her though!
It's this Baby Einstein one:
Yes this is the one I have too.
I have my bachelor's in early childhood development/ed. We focused a ton on infant development. This was never mentioned. We learned all about the dangers of walkers but not exersaucers.
As long as baby isn't in there for super long stretches, then it's fine. The baby needs a chance to roam and explore to develop gross motor skills, but some fun time in an exersaucer will not cause harm.
we have this one. the evenflow triple fun exersaucer. so far he stands in it and loves it.
