Cookies in a jar...

At Christmas, I told ALL of our in-laws that we would be making all birthday gifts this year to save money (we're paying rent AND our mortgage in GA... on one salary until I find a job and child care).  Neice #2 will be 14 this week, I'm going to make her a little change purse/personal bag.  MIL's B-day is also this week... and I think I'd like to do some cookie mixes in jars.  She LOVES sweets, especially chocolate... extra bonus for chocolate AND peanut butter.  I've never done cookies in a jar, so I'd love to see some of your favorite mixes!  (I suggested snack baggies to DH and he said no... I kind of see his point- she uses my Christmas gift bags as Christmas decorations- not gift bags)

I've never done them, but it sounds like a great present.  I would do a recipe that has lots of colors and textures. chocolate chips, nuts, cocoa, etc.  It probably would look nice in a cute glass jar or canister with a ribbon around.
